Riestra - Sidra Natural Asturias (700 mL)
Riestra - Sidra Natural Asturias (700 mL)
Riestra Sidra Natural is a traditional Spanish sidra from the Asturias region in Northern Spain. A traditional Asturian cider - this sidra natural is wild fermented (spontaneously fermented by ambient native yeasts), and bottled still (uncarbonated). Riestra's Sidra Natural is made with a blend of native Asturian apple varieties, plus a small amount of bitter varieties imported from Normandy which reduces the typical high acidity somewhat and features a modest tannic bite.
PRODUCER: SIDRA RIESTRA, Sariego, Astúrias
CIDER MAKER: Raúl Riestra
Native Asturian apple varieties: Raxao, Fuentes, Blanquina (sharp); Carrio (semi-sharp); Clara (bittersharp). Normandy apple varieties are bittersharp and bittersweet.
The Cider Journal: This is very nice cider, very refreshing and really well-balanced. Finally, there’s lots of length here, the remnants hanging around long after the quaff.
