Alma Cider - Wood Aged (500 mL)
Alma Cider - Wood Aged (500 mL)
Alma Cider's Wood Aged is a barrel aged cider made from Skagit Valley grown Gravenstein apples, pressed and fermented slowly to produce a cider that is crisp, tart, and bright just like the apple. The cider was aged 6 months in freshly emptied Valley Shine Bourbon barrels. The result is a beautiful single varietal that offers notes of oak, vanilla, caramel, and bourbon with a long finish.

Why we love Alma Cider: Alma Cider is a small, family business established in 2019, born from a dream to spend the days working outside in nature and to grow an unparalleled cider apple crop. In addition to making cider, Dave and Heather work tirelessly operating Bitters & Sharps Orchard in the Skagit Valley of Washington State, where they are planting a 36-acre cider apple orchard as well as providing orchard planning, grafting, and consultation services to other cider-makers in the Pacific Northwest. We first befriended Dave when we took (and passed! the Certified Pommelier exam together. Each of his cider, perry, and quince products are delightful - as is every opportunity to clink cider glasses with him.
