Puget Sound Cider Company - Lost Apple (750 mL)

Puget Sound Cider Company - Lost Apple (750 mL)
Puget Sound Cider Company's Lost Apple is a semi-sweet cider made from a blend of three apple varieties not yet identified. These apples are originally from a 100+ year old homestead farm on San Juan Island. Nick from Puget Sound Cider has grafted these varieties onto trees in his cider orchard in Ellensburg (Central Washington). We're glad he did, because this blend makes for one of our absolute favorite ciders from Puget Sound Cider Co.!
Tasting Notes: This semi-sweet cider has abundant apple aroma. Medium-plus to high acidity balances nicely with the sweetness. There's a bold acidity rush at first sip, but that softens to a much more mellow and pleasant mouthwatering acid. Medium-minus to low tannins. Flavor notes of pineapple, orange zest, fresh pear, fresh green apple, lemon, russets, quince. A nice citrusy & acidity lingers on the tongue. Tart, chalky, and fruity.
About Puget Sound Cider Company: an award-winning, small batch cidery with Puget Sound roots. Owned & operated by Certified Pommelier Nick Hill and his wife Holly Hill, the family owns an antique in Renton, just south of Seattle, where you can do a tasting or pick up bottles of their ciders. You can also visit them at the Pike Place Market in Seattle on Saturdays. The ciders are made in nearby Auburn, WA. They have their own orchard in Ellensburg - about a 2 hour drive east of Seattle in Central Washington. They make a nice range of ciders including traditional ciders, single-varietals, and fruit flavored ciders.
