4-Bottle Bundle Includes:
- Le Père Jules (France)- Pommeau de Normandie (750 mL) - A delicious aperitif wine made by mixing 2/3 fresh apple cider and 1/3 one-year-old Calvados (apple brandy, in this case made from a blend of Normandie AOC Calvados) then aging for several years in oak barrels.
- Eve's Cidery (NY), Pommeau (375 mL) - This 2023 bottling of pommeau was aged in barrels for 2 years before blending and bottling. An indispensable sipper for cozy fall nights or for sharing around a summer campfire.
- Raging Cider & Mead (CA), West Coast Pommeau 2021 (375 mL) - Made using fresh juice from the same blend of apple varieties: Hyslop crabapple & old cultivar honeyed Golden Delicious. Each year the apples express themselves differently. Raging uses a solera method for the apple brandy used in their pommeau, constantly adding a fresh vintage of brandy to the prior year's blend. This 2021 vintage uses brandy between 1 & 4 years old. Barrel aged for at least two years prior to bottling.
- Shawnee Hill Farm (WA)- Pommeau (375 mL) - Made from estate grown apples on Shawnee Hill's orchard on Vashon Island. Apple juice was distilled and blended with fresh apple juice all on Shawnee Hill Farm. A smooth and apple-forward sipper.

- Ferme de Port Coustic (France) - Coup d'Jus Pommeau de Bretagne (500 mL) - Coup d'Jus is a Pommeau de Bretagne (Brittany/Breton), made to the AOC standards of Brittany. Made by blending Lambig (apple brandy made in Brittany) with fresh apple juice, and barrel aging it in oak barrels for 30+ months.
- Alpenfire Cider (WA) - Rosy Pommeau (375 mL) - Made from the red, high acid juice of Airlie Redflesh apples, which were partially fermented before halting the fermentation with the addition of an eau de vie. The eau de vie is distilled from Alpenfire's estate organic cider varietals and locally grown organic heirloom apples. Once blended, it is aged in neutral oak for 15+ months before bottling.
About Pommeau:
Pommeau is a traditional French apple mistelle, made by blending unfermented apple cider with apple brandy. The mixture is aged in oak barrels, typically for at least 1-3 years and often longer. The high percentage of alcohol from the apple brandy prevents the fresh juice from fermenting. The prolonged aging results in a rich melding of flavors from the juice, brandy, and barrel that is intense yet smooth and delicious.

Pommeau is best served as an aperitif or with dessert. We suggest serving each of these lightly chilled in small glasses, 1-2 ounces per serving. It pairs wonderfully with cheese, chocolate, apple pie, or sipped slowly on its own.
