This bundle features six different ciders from American cidermakers, inspired by the legendary ciders of Spain. If you're looking for a variety pack of traditional Spanish sidra and sagardoa from Spain, check out this product here

Spanish cider culture is amongst the oldest in the world. The Basque Country and Asturias region in Northern Spain makes some of the best, most beloved ciders available. We're proud to carry a wide variety of Sidra de Asturias and Sagardoa from Basque Country in our shop. But getting your hands on Sidra & Sagardoa when it's fresh and at it's best can be tough. Plus, who doesn't love to try something new?!

This cider box features six delicious, fresh, Spanish inspired ciders from some of our favorite cider makers in the U.S. Featured ciders include:

  • Son of Man - Sagardo Cider 2022 (750 mL): Son of Man has won many prestigious awards for their Basque style cider. Made using Oregon grown apples, including many varieties originally from Northern Spain. This cider is bright and balanced, with notes of tart apple, banana, papaya, clove, and orange peel. Traditional to many Spanish sidra brands, this bottle's cork seconds as a pour top for you to long pour gulpable splashes of cider into your glass.
  • Botanist & Barrel - Basq in the Glory (750 ml): Inspired by traditional basque style sidra, this cider is raw, wild, hazy, funky, sour, and ever so slightly effervescent. Semi-dry cider with high acidity and low tannins. Bold aromatics of lemon drop candy, green apple, and ripe melon. Flavor notes include juicy, tart green apple, sweet & tart meyer lemon. Bold fresh flavors come on instantly at first sip, softened by the sweetness and full body of the cider. Finishes with a brief sour kick in the back of the throat and a mouthwatering acidity that lingers into your next sip.
  • Barmann Cellars - Fruit Rescue Cider (500 mL): Inspired by the Basque cider-making tradition, this unique blend embodies the essence of community, sustainability, and craftsmanship. Pour it chilled and tall to unlock the full spectrum of flavors, offering a one-of-a-kind experience that combines crispness with a hint of complexity.
  • Liberty Ciderworks - Garratza (500 mL): Inspired by traditional Basque sidra, this still cider is made with Dolgo crabapples, wild-yeast fermented and allowed to mature with native bacteria – softening the acidic bite typical of Dolgos while providing a touch of the sour, funky character typical of sidra. Tasting notes of Meyer lemon and quince, with backnotes of pineapple and clove. Pairs well with sheep cheese or flank steak.

  • Finnriver Farm & Cider - Sidra (500 mL): A Spanish style cider fermented with open head space in the tank allowing exposure to oxygen, which promotes the wild vinegar bacteria that provide the pungent acetic nose these ciders are famous for. This cider carries an acidity from tart culinary apples (all certified organic) and a finishing astringency from a touch of oak.
  • Cameron Winery - Baird Sidra 2022 (750 mL): The apples used in this cider are a complex assortment of Asturian varieties such as Coloradona, Piel de Sapa, Repanaldo do Liebana, and Solarina; plus a few other popular cider apple varieties such as Kingston Black, Golden Russet, and Dabinett. The cider is finished in neutral Pinot noir barrels in order to impart flavors that resemble a true dry Asturian sidra. Its aromas are brilliant apple blossom and rose petal, which pop out of the glass a bit courtesy of the lively sparkling cider.  On the pallet, it's a dry cider with bold (medium-plus) tannins and high acidity. Flavor notes of green apple, citrusy lemon & lime zest, honeycomb, and some yeast driven phenolics. It has a very pleasantly long finish with notes of black tea and a slight salinity.

We ship cider in boxes that safely hold 4-bottles, 6-bottles, or 12-bottles. Order in one of those quantities (or multiples of those quantities) to maximize your shipping value. For example, if you order 2-3 ciders, there will be room left in the box and it won't meaningfully change the shipping costs to fill the box.

We do have 1-bottle boxes, but in most all instances it will cost the same to ship you a full 4-bottle box.

Shipping to a business address will usually save you a few bucks!

Shipping cost estimates:

  • Pacific Northwest/West Coast: Shipping anywhere in the Pacific Northwest or West Coast is relatively inexpensive. Almost all box sizes cost $16-21 to ship. Same is true for most destinations in the Mountain Time Zone.
  • Central Standard Time Zone / Midwest: A 4-bottle or 6-bottle box will usually cost $18-24 to ship. A 12-bottle box will usually cost $22-30 to ship. Variance depends on weight and how far from a FedEx/UPS shipping center your delivery address is.
  • East Coast: A 4-bottle or 6-bottle box will usually cost $20-25 to ship. A 12-bottle box will usually cost $25-35 to ship. Variance depends on weight and how far from a FedEx/UPS shipping center your delivery address is.

Important Shipping Information:

  • We are able to ship cider to most, but not all, states.
  • Legally, someone 21+ must be present at the time of delivery to sign for the cider. We cannot ship to PO Boxes or AFO/FPO addresses.
  • Shipping prices vary by weight and destination. How far you are from Seattle (where we ship from), and remote vs. central your shipping destination is, and how heavy your box is will make shipping vary.
  • The bigger the box, the less you pay in shipping on a per-bottle basis. We ship in 1, 4, 6, and 12 bottle boxes - order in those quantities for the best shipping value. The size of the box matters as much as the weight, so don't leave empty slots in your bottle box! Shipping a 1-2 bottles will cost the same as shipping 4-6 bottles in most cases. Shipping a 12-bottle box is usually only $3-5 more than shipping a 4-6 bottle box.
  • Re-delivery and returns are the responsibility of the customer.
  • We don't recommend shipping during periods of extreme weather. If your area has weather of concern, please contact us and we can hold your order.

We can usually accommodate rush requests for delivery or pickup. Please e-mail us at cider@pressthenpress.com or call/text us at (206)395-4008.

We offer home delivery of cider orders for customers in the Seattle area, including the east-side. Someone 21+ must be available to accept the delivery. We will be flexible in scheduling a delivery that works for you. Most deliveries are made within a few days of the order being placed.

Orders can be picked up for free at Makeda & Mingus, a coffee shop and community space in the Greenwood neighborhood. They are open everyday from 7AM-5PM. Orders are made available for pickup within 1-3 days.
