Bauman's Cider - Do You Fancy a Road Trip? (750 mL)
There's a very special story behind this cider... perhaps several such stories depending on how many glasses you've had or how many friends you've shared a bottle with!
"Do You Fancy a Road Trip?" gets it's name from a one-liner dropped by none other than Tom Oliver of Oliver's Cider & Perry during one Christine Walter's (Bauman's founder) trips to visit Tom in the U.K. The cider itself is a blend of a variety of estate grown apples from Buaman's Farm, spontaneously fermented with a little help from some lees left over in a bottle of a Tom Oliver's cider named after Christine. The apple blend includes a high percentage of Foxwhelp apples - a staple in many of Oliver's cider batches.
The cider drinks semi-dry with bold yet balanced levels of tannin and acidity (Medium-Plus). Delightful flavor profile of apple butter, sweet meyer lemon, esters from the fermentation, and tannins that dry out the finish with a lingering taste of biting into a fresh apple.
